Sustainable Nigerian Bottle Partnerships

Jameson and Lagos State Promote Conscious Consumption

As part of Lagos State’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, premium beverage brand Jameson has joined forces with the state government to champion recycling and encourage environmental stewardship. This collaboration took center stage with a striking installation at the Ikeja City Mall in Lagos—a nearly 15-foot-tall festive tree constructed from 3,000 recycled Jameson bottles.

The bottles used in the installation were collected through a broad network of recycling agencies, engaged consumers, and other key stakeholders. Beyond its visual appeal, the initiative has far-reaching implications. By integrating recycling into the festive display, Jameson aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of waste while actively contributing to reducing pollution.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Lagos State government and organisations like FABE International Foundation to make this a reality. In alignment with the circular economy, our goal is to ensure that every bottle we produce is upcycled and repurposed, preventing them from becoming environmental hazards,” said Michael Ehindero, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria.
