Paperboard Gin Bottles

Georgian Bay Spirit debuted a first-of-its-kind 100% recycled paperboard bottle produced in Canada, and it has a carbon footprint up to six times lower than a glass bottle. Georgian Bay Eco-Friendly Gin uses a special botanical-forward blend with "99.7% of gin inputs locally sourced from Ontario." The brand is taking its commitment to sustainability a step further by pledging to plant a tree for every bottle sold.

Across the industry, alcohol brands are adopting paperboard packaging due to its lightweight nature, which reduces shipping costs and environmental impact during transportation. Additionally, paperboard unlocks printability beyond a small label, allowing brands to showcase bolder designs while appealing to eco-conscious drinkers.

Canada’s first-ever paper spirit bottle will be hitting shelves this spring.
