Eco-Friendly Spirit Packaging

The challenge is enormous

Diageo and EcoSpirits have announced a new global agreement that will see the brands piloting a circular packaging initiative in 18 markets over the course of the next three years. The trial will see the EcoSpirits EcoTote being used as a keg-like way for bars and restaurants to easily access premium spirits without having to deal with glass bottles. The EcoTote is rated to support up to 150 uses, which will replace the need for 1,000 glass bottles during its lifespan to reduce the carbon footprint of the product.

CEO of EcoSpirits Paul Gabie spoke on the Diageo and EcoSpirits partnership saying, "EcoSpirits ’ mission is to end single-use glass in the spirits and wine industry.
