This food-based food storage system challenges conventional plastic in terms of function and it shares the advantage of being able to break down in less than 180 days. Additionally, Great Wrap is 100% compostable, which means it will only add organic matter to the compost pile without leaving nasty microplastics behind.
The Australian firm has its sights set on selling and manufacturing this sustainable packaging innovation in America this August.
