InnerSpace Launches 'GeoMap Asia' for Industry Potential

InnerSpace has launched 'GeoMap Asia,' a tool designed to highlight the significant geothermal energy resources in the region that are currently underused. The development of these resources could offer a reliable and cost-effective energy source, improving air quality, supporting economic growth, and enhancing energy security.

GeoMap™ is an "advanced tool that consolidates millions of data points from both the Earth's surface and subsurface, creating an interactive and publicly accessible map." The International Energy Agency (IEA) has found that, based on GeoMap™ data, "the ASEAN region could potentially generate 125 TW of geothermal electricity by 2050, approximately 700 times more than the current electricity production in these countries; this data also shows the potential for geothermal energy to be used for industrial heating and district cooling in major cities across the Philippines, Indonesia, and China."

GeoMap Asia builds on earlier versions, such as GeoMap™ Africa, North America, and India, offering a subsurface analysis tool to identify geothermal hotspots and a ranking system for converting coal plants and industrial facilities in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
