AI-Assisted Wildfire Prevention Technology

Green Grid Inc. introduced its AI-powered platform, iSIU® — which stands for Instant Situational Insights® for Utilities — at the CEATI Transmission & Distribution Conference. There, Green Grid showcased the capabilities of its technology in enhancing grid monitoring and preventing wildfires.

The iSIU® platform provides 24/7 monitoring of utility infrastructure, utilizing AI sensors to detect over 100 risk factors, including equipment failures and vegetation threats. This real-time surveillance enables utilities to proactively address issues, rather than responding to them after the fact.

One of the standout features of iSIU® is its advanced wildfire prevention technology, which can identify potential fire risks from sources like equipment sparks, vegetation, and even human actions. By offering early detection and automated alerts, the system allows utilities to take preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of grid-related fires and enhance overall community safety.
