DEWA's AI Baheth Programme Aims to Accelerate Innovation

The Al Baheth Programme, launched by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), is designed to develop the research and professional skills of Emirati talents. The programme, part of DEWA's Research and Development (R&D) Centre, aims to foster a culture of research and development by engaging local and international universities and providing opportunities for students to work closely with distinguished researchers from around the world. Participants in the Al Baheth Programme benefit from training, internships, capstone projects funding, symposiums, conferences, and seminars, which help them gain practical skills and stay updated with the latest technologies in clean and renewable energy, sustainability, and digital transformation.

The programme aligns with DEWA's strategy to prepare young Emiratis for leadership roles in the energy and water sectors and supports the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. By promoting research and development and attracting Emirati graduates to work at DEWA's R&D Centre, the Al Baheth Programme contributes to advancing global research in energy and water, preparing for future challenges, and supporting the transition to clean and renewable energy. The initiative has already hosted numerous students from various nationalities and universities, enhancing their knowledge and experience to better prepare them for the job market.
