Shanghai Electric Unveiled Sustainable Developmental Technologies
Debra John — January 17, 2025Shanghai Electric showcased its latest sustainable energy technologies at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi from January 14-16, 2025. The company introduced new solutions in green hydrogen production and energy-efficient manufacturing.
One key innovation was the 'Bristack-Z1000 alkaline electrolyzer,' designed to improve hydrogen production. It features efficient gas-liquid transmission and flexible support, helping to reduce energy use. Operating "at 2500 A/m², it consumes 12% less power than industry standards and is TÜV Rheinland-certified."
Shanghai Electric also presented its sustainable formaldehyde production technology. This system uses "advanced gasification techniques and high-temperature conversion to improve energy efficiency; by integrating wind and solar energy, it reduces carbon emissions while maintaining high capacity and reliability." These technologies aim to support cleaner energy production and improve sustainability in industrial processes.
