Biodegradable Bottled Waters

Concerns surrounding plastic waste are only increasing as companies start to seek out alternatives to satisfy consumer preferences for sustainability, which is seeing new initiatives like the Cove water bottle come to light.

The water bottles are crafted from an FDA-approved biopolymer that is 100% compostable and capable of breaking down into CO2, water and organic waste after disposed of via municipal compost collection. The bottles will also safely break down when in soil, the ocean or fresh water to prevent them from hanging around for thousands of years like traditional plastic materials.

The Cove water bottles have a shelf life of six months and can be reused after being initially emptied by consumers as a portable water bottle until the expiry date.
