EV Battery Swapping Efforts

Visionary Holdings is making significant strides in battery-swapping technology for new energy vehicles (NEVs) in Hong Kong. After securing "a US$1 billion investment from Qatar's Alfardan Group, the company has made important advances in both technology development and expanding its market presence, drawing strong interest from investors."

In collaboration with a leading international research team, Visionary Holdings is working on a new intelligent battery-swapping technology. This technology aims to reduce the "current five to eight minute battery swap time to just three minutes, improving speed and efficiency; it will also increase battery compatibility, making it usable with over 80% of different NEV models on the market."

This technology, once launched, will improve the user experience and address issues related to energy replenishment for NEVs. The project is currently in the simulation testing phase, with plans for field tests by 2025, and a commercial rollout afterward.
