These Zeta Energy Corp Li-S batteries are being developed thanks to a partnership with Stellantis that's targeted towards increasing range, providing additional power and dropping the cost of electric vehicle batteries.

The battery technology utilizes a lithium sulfur formulation that's reported to be speedier at being charged with charging rates reported to be 50% faster than lithium ion technology. The batteries will also provide more power in the same amount of space, while also being lighter in weight and also featuring a price point that's around half the price per kilowatt hour when compared to lithium ion.

The Zeta Energy Corp Li-S batteries are currently under development with Stellantis hoping to start rolling out Li-S-powered electric vehicles starting in 2030.
