The world’s largest EV maker, Yadea, has launched a revolutionary sodium battery electric motorbike powered by its innovative 'HuaYu' sodium-ion battery technology. Known for dominating the electric two-wheeler market, Yadea is shifting from traditional lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries to embrace the advantages of sodium-ion chemistry.

This new motorbike boasts impressive features, including an 80% charge in just 15 minutes using Yadea’s Sodium Superfast Charging Ecosystem. The battery offers an energy density of 145 Wh/kg, a five-year lifespan, and exceptional performance in cold climates, retaining 92% capacity at -20°C. Sodium-ion batteries are safer than lithium-ion alternatives, with better resistance to overheating and environmental benefits such as reduced mining impacts and abundant raw materials like seawater.

While sodium-ion technology has a lower energy density, Yadea’s advancements demonstrate its potential to transform the EV market, making sustainable and affordable electric mobility more accessible worldwide.
