LiveWire, Harley-Davidson's electric motorcycle subsidiary, recently introduced the S2 Alpinista, a model designed to excel on winding mountain roads. The S2 Alpinista belongs to the S2 platform, sharing its battery and motor technology with the S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland models. While specific technical details remain sparse, the S2 Alpinista is expected to offer similar performance metrics, including an 80 horsepower motor and approximately 100 miles of real-world riding range. The new model will be officially unveiled on January 15, 2025.

The introduction of the S2 Alpinista comes amid declining sales in the mid-size and large-capacity electric motorcycle market. LiveWire aims to cater to riders seeking a versatile, high-performance electric motorcycle suitable for both commuting and spirited rides on twisty roads. With its name evoking images of skilled mountaineering, the S2 Alpinista is poised to set a new standard for urban and beyond-urban riding. LiveWire's strategic focus on innovation and performance reflects its commitment to solidifying its position in the evolving electric vehicle market.
