TETRA Technologies Announced a Solution for Re-Use and Mineral Extraction

TETRA Technologies has launched the 'TETRA Oasis Total Desalination Solution' (TDS), a water treatment system that cleans and repurposes water from oil and gas operations. This advanced system combines TETRA’s special treatment process with exclusive membrane technology to handle different water conditions across various oil and gas regions.
Tests have shown that TETRA Oasis TDS can produce clean water that meets or exceeds safety regulations at a low cost. The treated water can be reused for irrigation, industrial processes, and other applications. To build on this success, TETRA and EOG Resources will begin a pilot project in early 2025, using TETRA Oasis TDS to treat water from the Permian Basin. As part of the project, researchers will also conduct a greenhouse study to see how well treated water supports plant growth.
