This sustainable housing development is situated in Copenhagen. Great focus is put on planet-friendly practices. Dubbed the 'UN17 Village,' the eco-conscious project spans 35,000 square meters and is set to provide the city with 400 new homes. The initative also aims to be the first sustainable housing development in the world that abides by the guidelines and goals set by the UN.

Lendager Group and Årstiderne Arkitekte were tasked with overseeing the project after the architectural studios won a competition. For materials, the ecovillage will make use of recycled glass, concrete, and wood. The proposal boasts a total of five blocks. Aside from the obviously conscious resource use, the sustainable housing development will rely on other eco-friendly techniques like "geothermal and solar energy," rainwater collectors and rooftop gardens.
