Red Lobster is Inspiring Middle School Students to Think Big

Ocean sustainability is at the forefront of Red Lobster’s latest initiative, inviting middle school students to develop innovative solutions for marine conservation. Through the Red Lobster Ocean Sustainability Challenge, students will apply STEAM skills to address environmental issues affecting oceans and waterways. This program aligns with the company’s Seafood with Standards commitment, emphasizing responsible sourcing and sustainability.

The challenge encourages young minds to propose creative solutions, with submissions evaluated by ocean sustainability experts. The top five teams will win prizes, including registration to the 2025 FIRST Robotics competition, while the grand prize winners will travel to California to meet leading conservation innovators. This initiative fosters innovation and strengthens partnerships between Red Lobster, educators, and conservation organizations.

By engaging communities and promoting environmental stewardship, Red Lobster champions sustainability efforts beyond its restaurants. Through this challenge, the company aims to inspire future leaders in marine conservation, reinforcing its dedication to protecting the world’s oceans.
