Lockengloet understands the importance of finding new and innovative ways to reuse materials in our daily lives. This is why the company created a series of furniture pieces made from discarded and upcycled oil barrels. The barrels were obtained at the Port of Hamburg and would otherwise be thrown into a landfill.

The company upcycled the metal bins into durable furniture with an urban industrial aesthetic. Lockengloet ensured that little to no metal went to waste during the manufacturing process by turning square cutouts into wall clocks and other quirky items. The barrels formed various household staples like coffee tables, side tables, shelves, display cabinets, bookshelves, and more. The products are available in various vibrant hues.
