How2Recycle Debuts a New Plus Label for Real-Time Disposal Guidelines

How2Recycle is officially launching its How2Recycle Plus label, allowing consumers to access recycling information directly on grocery item packaging. With the How2Recycle Plus label, grocery shoppers can determine whether an item they have purchased can be recycled in their area, while also instructing the shopper on how to successfully do so. How2Recycle notes that with its unique location and design, consumers have grown to recognize the label on their products and, in turn, are choosing greener waste management solutions.
“[...] Reducing confusion on what can be recycled is essential to improving the U.S. recycling rate. Real-time, location-specific education is a critical tool for recovering the 76% of what could be recycled but is instead sent to landfills or incinerators,” said Katherine Huded, vice president of Recyclability Solutions at The Recycling Partnership.
