Energy-Efficient Headquarter Buildings

The New 'Bench' Building Prioritizes Sustainable Design

Philippines-based clothing brand Bench is set to benefit from a brand new headquarter building, designed by Foster + Partners, that is designed to offer sustainable and comfortable space to the company.

Situated on the island of Luzon within the Philippine capital city of Manila, Bench's new headquarter building benefits from a range of eco-friendly features that include the utilization of a special carbon calculation system that keeps tabs on carbon emissions associated with different components and materials, allowing the architects to make data-driven alterations to the carbon footprint linked to the product.

Elsewhere, this headquarter building features a novel awning mechanism that shields the space from dangerous levels of sun exposure. Elsewhere, the fact that the building is located in an area of high seismic activity was also taken into account, with its structural design allowing for exceptional balance.
