The new Silver Oak Winery is a state-of-the-art facility that is fully sustainable. Located in California's Alexander Valley, this new facility is a modern winery that uses technological advancement to produce a better product. The new Silver Oak Winery is house primarily out of a modern-looking barn designed by architect Daniel Piechota. According to Piechota, the barn was meant to strike a balance between straightforward and laid-back. Furthermore, the design was meant to call back to the rural area surrounding the winery, but also to show the modernism Piechota saw in traditional barns.

This new Silver Oak Winery is not only impressive from the outside, but also implements sustainable efforts to better produce the company's product. All bottles produced from this location are set to be 100% net zero energy and water from start to finish. The water used in the facility is down-cycled a total of three times, and natural light is the primary form of illumination in the facility. Solar panels will handle the need for electricity and will draw enough power to return 5% back to the power grid. On top of all the innovation, the winery goes a few steps further by using reclaimed redwood for construction and recycled Levi's for insulation.
