PCR-Derived Lubricant Bottles

Berry Global Creates a Bottle and Cap Solution for Green Oil

Berry Global has released a new bottle and cap design made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. This new solution, designed to help businesses like Green Oil manufacture lubricants, adopts a greener approach to ensure minimal environmental impact.

Green Oil uses sustainable plant-based ingredients to craft its lubricants and penetrating oils. To align with this sustainable outlook, the brand is transitioning to Berry Global's new bottle to reduce the amount of plastic waste generated by its products.

The Berry Global bottle and cap design uses the brand's proprietary CleanStream™ recycled plastic. This means it can be recycled and repurposed into a new material at the end of its life cycle. It is also detectable by Near Infra-Red (NIR) scanners commonly used to sort waste accurately.

“As well as their sustainability credentials, the bottle and closure are practical and user-friendly,” concluded founder Simon Nash. “Our partnership with Berry has been great for the environment and great for business.”
