Sustainable Glass-Made Concepts

Students from Lund University Contribute to a Circular Economy

Students from the Lund University in Sweden have debuted numerous glass-made concepts that seek to propel the circular economy forward and make the use of plastic obsolete. Thirty-one in total, these designs were exhibited during the Stockholm Furnture & Light Fair. They were part of an exhibition called 'Transparent.'

The glass-made concept extends to everyday household objects such as contact lens cases, vegetable vases, and even pill packets, as well as some CPG innovations in the food and drink, cosmetic and building industries. These ideas build on the potential of glass as a material, which has "longevity and [...] recyclability." The designs were completed in collaboration with expert glassblowers.

As it covers a wide range of categories, the sustainable glass-made concepts are quite important and actionable.
