Asics has unveiled a line of podium and press event attire for the 2024 Paris Olympics, complete with carbon emission labels detailing the environmental impact of their production. This initiative aligns with Paris’ emphasis on sustainability as the host city, allowing the team to showcase its dedication to the broader environmental movement.

"The Paris Games are billed as the most sustainability-focused event in Olympic history, so we adhered to that concept," said Makoto Ohori, manager of Asics' apparel and equipment development.

The carbon footprint of each item is displayed, offering a transparent look at the resources used in their creation. For instance, the team’s warm-up jackets carry a carbon cost of 8.8 kilograms of CO2e, while the trousers come in at 5.5 kilograms of CO2e. The brand claims to have improved its emission rates, achieving a reduction of 34% since the last Tokyo Games.
