Parley for the Oceans created 3D printed trophies out of ocean plastic for the Fashion Awards this year. The environmental organization gathered marine plastic waste from remote island waters for the project. Once collected, the material is shredded and reworked into polyester yarn, ready for 3D printing. Every year, the trophies awarded at the Fashion Awards in London are designed by the environmental organization and designer Jabzes Barlett.

This year, the trophies are made from black plastic and contain approximately 75 plastic bottles each. Parley for the Oceans hopes to encourage positive change in the industry through its eco-friendly design. According to the brand, "the trophy stands as a symbol of change and has a direct impact as the materials are derived from the mega-polluter; marine plastic pollution."
