Ocean Plastic-Produced Credit Cards

American Express and Parley Launch New Sustainable Credit Card

With mounting concern regarding the amount of plastic enter our waterways and oceans, American Express and Parley have partnered to create a new, sustainable credit card called Green Card that was primarily fabricated with reclaimed plastic collected from islands, beaches, and coastal communities.

The new sustainable credit card is part of both brand's new global call-to-action titled #BackOurOceans that seeks to remove 1 million pounds of plastic pollution. American Express also announced its new plans to help combat marine plastic pollution that include a credit card recycling program, a pledge to eliminate single-use plastics in its operations, and a donation to the Ocean Conservancy and National Geographic Society -- a nonprofit that seeks to raise awareness and prevent marine plastic pollution.
