In a significant move toward sustainable fashion, SuperCircle, a New York-based circular technology and logistics startup, has raised $7 million to advance its textile recycling solutions. This funding aims to bridge the gap between retail brands and the recycling industry, addressing the environmental challenges posed by textile waste. With textiles being a major environmental concern, SuperCircle's platform offers a comprehensive solution, connecting waste management with recycling options suitable for different fibers.

The startup, founded in 2022 by Chloe Songer and Stuart Ahlum, is poised to expand its infrastructure, enhancing services for brands and retailers domestically and internationally. This expansion includes developing consumer trade-in programs for brand credit and providing real-time data for transparency in program performance. The funding will also support strategic hiring and foster partnerships across brand-owned recycling programs.

Co-led by Radicle Impact and Ulu Ventures, the pre-Series A financing round signifies a growing interest in circular economy solutions within the retail sector. SuperCircle's innovative approach not only reduces the industry's environmental footprint but also aligns with consumer demand for sustainable practices. By enabling garment-level tracking and processing of apparel and footwear, SuperCircle is setting a new standard for responsible end-of-life management in the fashion industry.
