Sam Bencheghib Pledged to Run from the East Coast to the West Coast

There is a staggering amount of plastic waste that is entering our oceans each year and in an effort to raise awareness, Sam Bencheghib -- co-founder of the media outlet and environmental organization Make A Change World -- has partnered with StepChain and Parley for the Oceans to run from the East Coast to the West Coast. Throughout the journey, Sam has engaged with various schools, universities, local businesses, and communities and asked them to sign the Parley AIR pledge -- a commitment to avoiding single-use plastic whenever possible.

"Solutions to this toxic age we're living in demand creativity, collaboration, eco-innovation - and action. It's going to take all of us harnessing our superpowers, and the next generation isn't waiting to set the example. Sam, with his epic Ocean2Ocean run, has championed the pillars of change in 49 marathons and counting. We're proud to support his journey as we launch Ocean Uprise, a new Parley program all about inspiring and empowering youth to transform their, and our, future," said Cyrill Gutsch, Founder and CEO of Parley for the Oceans.
