Due to the sheer amount of resources requires to produce them, almonds are becoming increasingly unsustainable—but this almond milk sets itself apart from the rest. Named the Best New Certified Organic or Regenerative Product in the 2023 Natural Products Expo West NEXTY Awards, New Barn Organics' Regenerative Organic Certified Unsweetened Almond Milk is perhaps the first product of its kind in the United States.
The product makes the most of Regenerative Organic Certified almonds from California's Central Valley, specifically a third-generation BIPOC farming family that teaches other farmers in California to grow almonds regeneratively and profitably.
At the farm, the heirloom almonds they produce are dry-farmed. As New Barn Organics says, this means that "less water is used and the flavor is boosted naturally."
