The RealReal's ReCollection Repurposes Distressed and Damaged Clothing

The RealReal's ReCollection is a line of upcycled fashion that was created in collaboration with eight luxury brands and it breathes new life into clothing that was distressed or damaged. Thanks to the collection, over 50 pieces from brands like Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Dries Van Noten have been turned into entirely new one-of-a-king pieces. In this way, more value has been added to the designs, rather than wasting away as a design that was too damaged to sell. After the pieces were donated, a zero-waste process was used to create entirely new designs without virgin fabrications. The upcycled pieces range anywhere from $195 to $2,450 and a portion of the proceeds will help to support the One Tree Planted charity.
