Loop by Ulta Beauty is introducing "a new way to shop without the waste," as consumers can send back the reusable containers when done. When placing an order, customers pay for a refundable deposit, and when Loop receives the empty packages, they are cleaned and sterilized for reuse.

On the platform, beauty consumers will find everything from sustainably packaged gel cleaners to deodorant creams, Vitamin C serums and much more from favorite brands like Dermalogica, Burt's Bees and Meow Meow Tweet.

Due to the complexity of components, some beauty products are notoriously difficult to recycle and the beauty industry is responsible for producing billions of units of packaging yearly. This platform has the potential to reduce waste by purchasing the products they already use in a different way.
