Waste-Reducing Produce Stickers

Food waste is a significant global issue but something as simple as using stickers on produce has the potential to play a crucial role in reducing waste and promoting mindful consumption. Grey Colombia and supermarket Makro teamed up to address the issue of food waste and created Life Extending Stickers to extend the lifespan of fruits and vegetables.

These stickers take the form of wheels with text and colors that provide recipe suggestions based on their level of ripeness. While a green papaya lends itself well to salads, a yellow one could be used in a cake, and once its skin reaches orange-red territory, it easily blends into milkshakes.

These stickers tap into the power of color, rather than overly complex technology, to help people see how they can make the most of food in-store or at home.
