Material-Scaling Circular Projects

Everlane, Eileen Fisher, and Zalando Promote Circular Fabrics

Everlane, Eileen Fisher, and Zalando are introducing a new partnership that champions circular materials in the fashion industry. The partnership responds to the industry's reluctance to buy circular textiles, tapping recycling startup Circ, Fashion for Food, and Canopy to help scale circular materials and create a collective name, The Fiber Club.

The collective has introduced an innovative framework centered on recycling pulp for lyocell fiber—a significant step forward in addressing one of fashion’s most persistent waste challenges. Circ's technology is at the center of this initiative, effectively breaking down polyester-cotton blends, a fabric composition widely used in T-shirts but notoriously difficult to recycle.

“The Fiber Club is designed to remove the biggest hurdles to scaling next-generation recycled fibers,” said Fashion for Good Managing Director Katrin Ley. “By bringing together brands, suppliers, and innovators, we are de-risking investment in circular materials, making large-scale implementation more feasible than ever before.”
