Clothing Cashback Projects

Nikin introduces the 'Circular Cashback' program, offering environmental benefits to those who choose to return their worn garments. Through this program, consumers can now get a refund for the material value of their clothing returns, with the older garments receiving a higher amount. Nikin uses OceanSafe's naNea, a biodegradable polyester, to recycle its products repeatedly without the quality dropping off.

"We already had circular products on offer, but realized that an additional incentive was needed for voluntary returns. With the buyback program, we now want to offer a suitable incentive and realign our business model," says co-founder and CEO Nicholas Hänny.

Nikin hopes that this new initiative will reduce the amount of waste generated by the fashion industry.
