Ace Green Recycling Envisions a Battery Recycling Facility in India

Ace Green Recycling has announced plans to build India’s largest battery recycling facility in Mundra, Gujarat, focusing on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. This facility will establish a recycling capacity of 10,000 metric tons annually by 2026, leveraging Ace’s proprietary 'LithiumFirst™' technology, which operates at room temperature without Scope 1 carbon emissions or waste.

Strategically located near Mundra’s major ports, the facility will streamline transportation of recycled materials for global markets. Ace’s innovative hydrometallurgical process achieves lithium recovery rates of 75%, producing lithium carbonate with over 99% purity for reintegration into the battery value chain.

In addition to LFP batteries, Ace plans to recycle lead batteries using its 'GreenLead®' recovery technology, offering a sustainable alternative to smelting. The facility is expected to create 50 local jobs and expand Ace’s role as a leader in the eco-friendly battery recycling market, addressing the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.
