Revalyu Resources Undertakes to Open a Second PET-Plastic Recycling Site
Debra John — November 15, 2024Revalyu Resources, a leading PET recycling company, has recently opened its second advanced recycling plant in Nashik, India, in response to growing demand and to increase production capacity. With the addition of this new plant, the company now "recycles over 20 million used PET bottles daily, producing 350,000 pounds of high-quality PET chips and polymer." These materials are then used across various industries, such as packaging, textiles, and automotive, to help businesses meet their sustainability goals.
In addition, the company is in the process of building a third plant, which is "fully financed as part of a US$100 million investment; this new facility, expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025, will add another 260,000 pounds of capacity per day, bringing the site's total recycling capacity to approximately 35 million PET bottles daily."
The plant uses advanced glycolysis-based recycling technologies and automated processes, which significantly reduce water usage by 75% and energy consumption by 91%, compared to traditional PET production methods.
