Climate Change-Focused Election Campaigns

The #VoteLikeAMadre campaign is an advertising initiative that was debuted ahead of Election Day on November 3rd to encourage Latina moms to get out and vote, which has garnered support from celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, Jordana Brewster, Joy Huerta, and Desi Perkins.

The short campaign video starts out with a mother watching the news with his daughter, who is anxious about the worsening environmental impacts that are posed by climate change. Through the video, #VoteLikeAMadre highlights the importance of not only exercising one's democratic rights, but electing a leader that will take climate change seriously so that the next generation will not be left alone to deal with the irreversible effects it can pose.
