Vollebak prides itself on continually releasing never-before-seen clothing concepts and its newest product, the Plant and Algae T-Shirt sets itself apart as an ultra-sustainable design. The eco-friendly shirt is made from "pulped eucalyptus and beech from sustainably managed forests and algae grown in bioreactors," which makes it all-natural and biodegradable. In fact, after the shirt has reached the end of its useful life, it can be placed in a garden or composter to be turned into food for worms.

The design that can be seen on the front of the biodegradable t-shirt is made with algae and a water-based binding agent as an alternative to synthetic traditional inks. As well as being an eco-friendly feature, the qualities of this plant-based ink block will cause it to react with air and oxidize over time, creating a totally unique, ever-changing design.
