Biodegradable Textile Additives

37.5 Technologies is combating textile waste with its new Enhanced Biodegradation (+EB) additive. Landfills are filled with clothing and other textiles that never fully biodegrade, which is why the eco-conscious company developed a new solution to accelerate the decomposition of synthetic textiles, including polyester.

The new additive breaks down textiles by 50-80% in just 80-100 years. As of June 2022, the additive will be incorporated into 37.5 Technology at no extra cost to brands. The additive comes to fruition after nearly four years of testing. All of the company's fibers and yarns going forward will incorporate the Enhanced Biodegradation technology. The goal is to create a sustainable method of producing textiles without harming the planet with more waste.
