Novelis Inc. has launched a new aluminum coil that is made from end-of-life automotive scrap, helping advance sustainability efforts across the automotive industry. Using aluminum scrap sourced from the Automotive Circularity Platform (ACP), the coil will be used to reduce reliance on virgin materials and reduce the carbon footprint of businesses operating within the automotive industry.

Novelis will also be dedicating itself to expanding the adoption of this technology for future projects rooted in sustainable principles and development.

"[...] Producing aluminium [is also a] groundbreaking achievement showcasing the potential for significant environmental benefits and the ability to meet the high-performance demands of modern automotive production," said Michael Hahne, Vice President and General Manager, Automotive, Novelis Europe.
