Plastic-Free Retail Solutions

Nexgen Packaging, a packaging solutions provider, has partnered with Seaman Paper, a sustainable packaging manufacturer, to expand access to eco-friendly packaging options. Together, they aim to offer viable alternatives to plastic for hanging and packaging items in the fashion and footwear industries.

Each year, approximately "180 billion polybags are used to protect clothing, shoes, and accessories during shipping and storage—however, according to Fashion for Good, only about 15% of these polybags are recycled." As such, this low recycling rate highlights a significant environmental challenge that calls for immediate attention.

To address this issue, the partnership focuses on reducing the use of single-use plastics. By introducing practical and sustainable packaging solutions, the collaboration seeks to support the industry’s transition toward more environmentally responsible practices.
