Environmental Sustainability Initiatives

Nespresso Canada is continuing its collaboration with Tree Canada for a fourth consecutive year. This partnership has resulted in a $533,000 contribution and the planting of 114,000 trees nationwide. These efforts support reforestation initiatives and promote resilience in ecosystems impacted by natural disasters.

This year, Nespresso Canada's $100,000 donation targets Tree Canada's 'Operation ReLeaf,' a program focused on restoring forests affected by climate change and other environmental challenges. The initiative also includes efforts to involve communities directly, such as training Indigenous groups in forestry operations in Manitoba's boreal forest, where fires caused significant damage in 2021. Similar restoration projects are ongoing in British Columbia, addressing areas hit by wildfires, including Shetland Creek in 2024. Moreover, Nespresso Canada employees actively participate in tree-planting activities, demonstrating the company's hands-on approach to environmental stewardship.
