The Kyiv Whale Eco Sculpture, a new project created from recycled plastic, was installed in a park to raise awareness about pollution. The interactive lighting of Kyiv Whale eco sculpture connects to the environmental monitoring system of the city. The system aggregates data on air and water pollution and the whale changes its color depending on the indicators.

Kyiv Whale Eco Sculpture has a length of twelve meters. It has a metal frame and panels made of recycled plastic. Volunteers collected the plastic in parks and rivers for six months. The garbage was recycled, and the plastic caps were used to make panels. Kyiv Whale has the 'skin' made of 700 plastic triangles. Initially, it weighed two tons, later reduced three times. The creater of the interactive sculpture is Valery Korshunov, a Ukrainian artist, founder of social and cultural projects.
