Green Theme Technologies created a water-free EMPEL DSR textile finishing treatment to add stain resistance to fabrics. Known for its innovations in sustainable textile finishing, the company created a protective PFAS-free treatment that outperforms other products of its kind.

The treatment encapsulates each fiber inside a yarn with an ultra-fine protective polymer that creates a barrier to prevent stains from contacting the fibers. Once washed, the stains are easily released in a normal cold-water laundry cycle. According to the company, "the goal was to safely protect fabrics from stains for easier cleaning at lower temperatures." In addition, EMPEL DSR promotes sustainability as it protects the fabric from common stains that typically ruin the textile's appearance.
