Mecho has reached a new sustainability milestone with the launch of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its motorized shade systems and the introduction of 'EcoGlass Blackout'—the first blackout fabric to be Red-List Free and Cradle-to-Cradle certified.

EPDs provide detailed information about a product’s environmental impact, including how it is made, used, and disposed of. This new initiative "shows Mecho’s commitment to being transparent and sustainable, helping architects, designers, and building owners choose eco-friendly shading solutions."

Alongside the EPDs, Mecho introduces EcoGlass Blackout, "a new fabric made from lightweight glass yarn with a white backing; it provides total darkness while meeting strict environmental and health standards." As the first blackout fabric to achieve both Red-List Free and Cradle-to-Cradle certifications, EcoGlass Blackout sets a new standard for sustainable shading.
