Lockhart's 'Chef's Against Plastic Waste' is a PET Workwear Line
Kanesa D — November 20, 2024Lockhart Catering Equipment is offering new solutions for the eco-conscious cook. Specifically, the brand is releasing a chef jacket and apron made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles, allowing chefs and home cooks to prioritize sustainable options when looking for kitchen-safe garments. Lockhart's offerings use crushed and melted recycled PET plastic to achieve an eco-friendly status, fusing them with polyester fibers and cotton to create a premium feel.
The chef's jacket has a pen pocket and presses stud fastening for convenience. It also arrives in a crisp and clean white shade.
“Sustainability is a vital issue, especially in the foodservice sector where waste and energy consumption are under intense scrutiny. Workwear may not be the first point of call when operators are considering how to reduce their environmental impact, however our new Chefs Against Plastic Waste range brings it to the fore," said Simon Britten, head of marketing at Lockhart Catering Equipment.
