Biodegradable Carton Designs
This Student Project Provides a Sustainable Option for Milk Packaging
Rebecca Byers — July 31, 2015This innovative milk packaging solution in the form of a biodegradable carton was created by group of Brazilian students. The creative concept involves several different materials that are easily separated for recycling once the carton's contents have been used.
Designed for rapid consumption, the biodegradable carton has four flexible plastic components and a cardboard part for "sustenance." The volume of each carton is 700-milliliters, with people living in smaller spaces with less people in mind.
The innovative milk packaging solution aims to lessen both plastic and paper production involved in typical milk carton designs. By allowing consumers to take apart the packaging, recycling is made easier and faster, meaning that individuals would be more inclined to take part in the effort.
