Sustainable Cleaning Brands

Sasol Chemicals, based in Houston, has unveiled two new biosurfactant brands, CARINEX and LIVINEX. These innovative products are the result of a collaboration with Holiferm Limited, focusing on the development of sophorolipids.

CARINEX has been specifically formulated for the personal care market, while LIVINEX is targeted at customers in the home care, technical, institutional, and industrial cleaning sectors. These biosurfactants serve various purposes, acting as detergents, dispersants, emulsifiers, foaming agents, and wetting agents. This versatility makes them ideal for a wide range of applications, from personal care products like shampoos and conditioners to cleaning and technical uses such as detergents and degreasers.

Notably, these products are biodegradable and environmentally friendly, ensuring that no animal or living organism is harmed as a result of its disposal.
