Eco-Packaging Production Pilots
Releaf Paper's New Pilot Production Line is Extremely Versatile
Kanesa D — November 20, 2024Releaf Paper, a brand known for its dedication to designing sustainable pulp and paper, has officially launched a new Pilot Production Line and Innovation Center that are intended to streamline operations and serve as a hub for company projects.
The Pilot Production Line utilizes mechanical and thermo-chemical techniques to process green biomass, which is then transformed into fiber that can be used for sustainable products like containerboard, packaging, and other eco-friendly materials. Notably, the brand also launched a collaboration with Uber Eats to provide recyclable leaf-based packaging to Parisian restaurants on the app.
"By creating fiber from fallen leaves, we’re not only offering an alternative material to the packaging industry but also unlocking the potential of urban green waste," explained Valentyn Frechka, Releaf Paper’s Head of Technology. "Our technology is designed to work with diverse types of raw materials, from city foliage to agricultural byproducts, allowing us to adapt our methods for local resources and significantly reduce the ecological footprint of traditional papermaking."
