According to Edacious, in today’s food industry, the focus has traditionally been on maximizing yield rather than nutritional quality. However, this approach has "led to declining nutrient density, environmental challenges, and reduced dietary benefits; to bridge this gap, Edacious is developing comparative benchmarks for whole foods and ingredients." For instance, while many assume apples have uniform nutritional value, Edacious' research shows that nutrient levels can vary up to tenfold among similar foods.

By analyzing over "200 essential compounds, Edacious provides critical insights that empower producers, brands, markets, and policymakers to drive data-driven nutrition and sustainable agriculture."
