May Mobility Unveiled an Extended Portfolio with Tecnobus
Debra John — January 7, 2025At CES 2025, May Mobility unveiled an expanded autonomous vehicle (AV) portfolio through a partnership with Tecnobus, a European electric minibus manufacturer. This collaboration introduces a new autonomous electric minibus platform, offering greater flexibility to fleet operators and transit agencies in both domestic and international markets. The vehicle, which accommodates "up to 30 passengers and includes wheelchair accessibility, aligns with May Mobility’s mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions, promoting sustainable transportation."
Designed for applications such as urban transit, corporate campuses, airports, and planned communities, the minibus platform is scalable to meet various needs. As such, it is homologated for use in Europe and Canada, broadening May Mobility’s reach internationally.
The fully electric minibus features "swappable batteries, reducing downtime and minimizing energy waste while boasting a top speed of 45 MPH." Overall, it is suitable for diverse transit environments, ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation options.
